Media release still exist in the age of social media
, where Public relations (PR) still use it to communicate with target audience
in terms of presenting their client or organization. Media Release is the most effective way of providing information to media outlets
(newspaper, radio, television and internet) about your event. The purpose of
media release is to gain the interest of the social media outlets.Social Media is the social interaction among people in which they create,
share or exchange information and ideas in virtual communities.
Most of organization they use public relations (PR)
to give out important information to public by using media release through
social media. As PR deals with a two way communication, which is one of the
most effective way to give out the information to the public and get feedback
from the target audience through social media. The change from traditional
media to new media has cause lots of change within different organization,
which has also made the PR job to be easier and effective. Some organization still
believe in the traditional way of doing things where they are facing some
challenge where it’s hard to adapt to the new media. In PR they use social
media to publish media release where most of things are done online.
